Blue Hours: NHS Hours you earn by volunteering. Blue Hours do NOT count towards your virtual counselor report.
White Hours: The hours you turn into the Guidance Office.
Please check your hours after each event you participate in. If your hours for an event have not been added to the website, please contact us at with your name and the event you attended clearly stated in the email. If you do not contact us within a two week period after such an event, those hours become forfeit.
If you are unable to participate in an event you have signed up for, please let us know at least 72 hours prior to the start of the event. Failure to show up or contact us within that time period will result in NEGATIVE hours. For example, not showing up to an event worth five blue hours will cause you to lose five of your total hours. This policy is at the discretion of the NHS officers, and we retain the right to make exceptions or extend the cancellation period. This is to ensure that all of our members are responsible and committed to the events that they sign up for.
Any member that does not meet the MINIMUM requirements their junior year will NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLUB THEIR SENIOR YEAR. We are proud to be able to call ourselves a National Honor Society; every member MUST live up to our standards. "Double the Difference" will now only apply to Cord and Cord and Mantle requirements, not for minimum requirements.
